RCMB-6 INTRODUCES WORKPLACE COOPERATION SCHEME TO ILOILO 21 HOTELS

RCMB-6 conducted a Plant-level Orientation on NCMB Programs to the Iloilo 21 Hotels held at Diversion 21 Hotel in Mandurriao, Iloilo City on June 6, 2017.

In attendance were 41 employees and management representatives of five hotels namely, the Century 21 Hotel, Diversion 21 Hotel, Highway 21 Hotel, Smallville 21 Hotel and District 21 Hotel, all under the management of the Iloilo 21 Hotels.

RCMB-6 technical staff Ms. Maricel G. Alayon- Labor and Employment Officer III and Mr. Dee Z. Ignacio- Senior Labor and Employment Officer were the resource speakers and discussed the Labor and Management Cooperation (LMC), Grievance Machinery (GM), Voluntary Arbitration (VA), Single Entry Approach (SEnA), Gender and Development (GAD) and Work Improvement Team (WIT).

RCMB-6 STAFF ATTENDS CSC & POAP TRAINING-SEMINARS

Two personnel from the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 6 attended in two separate training-seminars here in Region 6 on May 16-19, 2017.

Senior Labor & Employment Officer Mr. Dee Z. Ignacio attended the Enhanced Supervisory Skills/Communication Skills in La Carmela de Boracay, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan on May 16-19, 2017. This was also attended by local and national government offices.

The training was organized by the Personnel Officers Association of the Philippines (POAP), an organization composed of government officials and employees which aims to foster active interest in sound public personnel management.

LCT-6 CONDUCTS TRAINING-WORKSHOP TO CREATE LMC SUB-COMMITTEES

The LMC Convergence Team (LCT)-Region 6 conducted a Training-Workshop on the creation of LMC Sub-Committees, held on May 29-30, 2017 at the Century 21 Hotel in Iloilo City . This activity is in coordination with the LCT  focal persons on Occupational Safety and Health, Productivity Improvement Program and Family Welfare Program.

During the first day, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-6 conducted their ISTIV-SIB training (Industrious, S for Systematic, T for Time-conscious, I for Innovative, and V for strong Value for work-Succeeding in Business) for selected establishments. Focal person from Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) also gave inputs on their program.

On the second day, NCMB-RB6 gave a review on its programs highlighting Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery (GM). Other LCT focal persons also gave inputs on Family Welfare and Productivity Improvement Program (PIP) for the LMC sub-committees. Companies submitted their respective identified committees on OSH, PIP & Family Welfare.

SEAMAN RECEIVES 3.3M AS DISABILITY BENEFITS

Iloilo City- Mr. Orlando M. Padios, complainant of Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc. receives P3,365,572.90, equivalent to US$69,269.00 on the execution of the Voluntary Arbitrators’ decision on April 17, 2017.

The issue on entitlement of total disability benefits of the complainant was submitted to the panel of Voluntary Arbitrators, AVA Carmenda S. Leonoras, Atty. Juvy V. Dioso and AVA Adorico D. Dadivas, Jr. on April 11, 2016. Continue reading

LMC CONVERGENCE TEAM CONDUCTS AREAWIDE ORIENTATION-SEMINAR FOR ESTABLISHMENTS IN ILOILO

Twelve companies attended the areawide orientation-seminar on NCMB programs with topics on Productivity Improvement Program, Occupational Safety and Health, and Employees Compensation Program on April 19, 2017 held at the NCMB-RB6 Regional Office in Iloilo City.

In attendance were 15 representatives from different establishments in Iloilo City namely, The Grand Dame Hotel, JD Bakery Café, Roadblazers Trucking Corporation, Golden Ventures Gasoline Station, Diversion 21, The Little Company, Inc., Harbor Town Hotel Management Corporation, People’s Hotel Corporation, New Panay Agri-Venture Development, Inc., The Medical City-Iloilo, Century 21 Hotel, and Deco’s La Paz Batchoy, Inc.
